The Mom Project partners with a boutique law firm specializing in catastrophic personal injury litigation to hire a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of civil litigation experience, personal injury expertise, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach to supporting attorneys and clients throughout the case.

This full‑time, onsite role in San Mateo, CA offers a salary range of $85,000 to $125,000 and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Prior civil litigation experience (5+ years preferred); personal injury experience is required.
• Understanding of California state-court procedures and litigation deadlines.
• Produces accurate, polished work and pays close attention to detail.
• Communicates warmly and professionally with clients.
• Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team member.
• Anticipates what needs to be done and follows assignments through to completion.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic case-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury cases from intake through trial
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Draft, format, file or serve pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents
• Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, employment records, and other evidence
• Prepare discovery responses and assist with document production
• Maintain case calendars and monitor litigation deadlines
• Summarize medical records, depositions, and other case materials
• Assist with depositions, mediations, expert discovery, and trial preparation
• Help maintain organized, accurate, and complete electronic case files
