The Mom Project, partnering with a boutique law firm, seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys from intake through trial in San Mateo, CA. The role requires strong organization, litigation experience, and proactive client service in a close-knit team environment.

You will manage discovery, prepare pleadings, coordinate with clients and providers, and keep case calendars aligned with deadlines while maintaining precise electronic files for catastrophe injury cases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years civil litigation experience; personal injury experience required.
• Understanding of California state-court procedures and deadlines.
• Produces accurate, polished work and pays close attention to detail.
• Communicates warmly and professionally with clients.
• Independent while also being a collaborative team member.
• Anticipates needs and follows assignments through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury cases from intake through trial.
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Draft, format, file or serve pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
• Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, employment records, and other evidence.
• Prepare discovery responses and assist with document production.
• Maintain case calendars and monitor litigation deadlines.
• Summarize medical records, depositions, and other case materials.
• Assist with depositions, mediations, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
• Help maintain organized, accurate, and complete electronic case files.
