Job summary

The Mom Project is partnering with a boutique law firm in San Mateo, CA, to hire a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal. This onsite, full-time role supports attorneys from intake through trial, coordinating with clients, medical providers, and courts to ensure precise, timely filings and document management.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of civil litigation experience with a focus on personal injury, strong California procedural knowledge, and excellent communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Prior civil litigation experience (5+ years preferred); personal injury experience is required
• Understanding of California state-court procedures and litigation deadlines
• Produces accurate, polished work and pays close attention to detail
• Communicates warmly and professionally with clients
• Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team member
• Anticipates what needs to be done and follows assignments through to completion
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic case-management systems

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with personal injury cases from intake through trial
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Draft, format, file or serve pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents
• Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, employment records, and other evidence
• Prepare discovery responses and assist with document production
• Maintain case calendars and monitor litigation deadlines
• Summarize medical records, depositions, and other case materials
• Assist with depositions, mediations, expert discovery, and trial preparation
• Help maintain organized, accurate, and complete electronic case files
