Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred in Paralegal studies.
  • 3–5 years paralegal/legal assistant experience.
  • Notary public certification preferred.
  • Experience in Legal, Financial Services, Real Estate, or Mortgage industries preferred.
  • Experience with legal software.
  • Excellent deposition techniques.
  • Excellent note-taking, analytical, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication; proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Draft memos, pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, discovery, and various legal documents.
  • Analyze and redline contract terms and add provisions to contracts.
  • Manage calendars, organize case files, and handle admin tasks.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare documents for attorneys.
  • Prepare for depositions, arrange notices and schedules.
  • Review, revise and approve legal documents.
  • Coordinate requests across parties in litigation with clear communication.
