Job summary

Mordaunt Roundy Reihl & Jimerson in Stockton, CA is seeking a skilled Paralegal to support our legal team. You will draft, review, and file pleadings, manage case files, and coordinate depositions to help deliver high-quality legal services to clients.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of paralegal experience, proficiency with Westlaw or LexisNexis, and a solid understanding of California court procedures and e-filing. This is a non-remote position in a collaborative firm.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program a plus.
• 2+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience.
• Proficiency in Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Strong knowledge of California court procedures and e-filing systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support attorneys
• Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel on case matters
• File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
• Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and litigation calendars
