Job summary

Marshall & Taylor, PLLC in Wilmington, NC is hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, coordinating office activity, and conducting legal research. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in a law firm setting, strong organizational and time-management skills, and excellent writing and communication abilities.

Paralegal certification or related degree is preferred, with hybrid/remote work opportunities where appropriate.

Qualifications

At least 3 years experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
High-level organizational and time-management skills.
ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or equivalent in paralegal studies; Bachelor’s degree desired.
Talented communicator and writer; strong drafting abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses.
Coordinate law office activity including drafting subpoenas and coordination with process servers.
Conduct client interviews to gather information on legal issues.
Perform administrative duties and keep case filing system organized.
