Job summary

Lakewood Church in Houston, TX is seeking a Paralegal in the Legal Department to support daily operations and provide high-level legal administrative help. This role reports to the General Counsel and may include research, document drafting, and coordination of sensitive legal matters.

The position offers a salary range of $75,000–$95,000 with relocation assistance and potential signing bonus for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certification or equivalent work experience.
• Some college preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; Proficient in legal research and document preparation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Legal Department and staff leaders.
• Provide high-level legal administrative support, including research and clerical tasks.
• Manage heavy calendars and coordinate meetings with executives, staff, assistants, and consultants.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects and ensure timely follow-up.
• Answer calls, check voicemail, and respond to department emails.
• Draft and distribute interdepartmental correspondence and emails.
• Demonstrate strong customer service when dealing with the public and staff.
• Perform general office tasks: copying, faxing, mail merges, agendas, and notes.
• Deliver internal/external correspondence via post, FedEx, etc.
• Coordinate administrative mail for the Legal Department.
• Take on general duties and special projects as assigned.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, travel authorizations, and check requests.
