Job summary

Allied Government Solutions, Inc. seeks a Paralegal / Legal Assistant III to support the ATF in Washington, DC. The role involves case review, legal research, discovery management, and pretrial preparations within a fast-paced federal environment.

Ideal candidates will have a paralegal certificate or relevant HS diploma with paralegal experience, knowledge of forfeiture law, and excellent communication and organizational skills. U.S. citizenship and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or HS diploma with 1–3 years paralegal experience.
• 1 year automated litigation support experience with legal tech.
• Knowledge of forfeiture law/policy helpful.
• Strong legal research and analysis skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication; organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in reviewing case materials and preparing digests with legal references.
• Receive, examine, and evaluate new and complex cases per standards.
• Assist in determining probable cause by reviewing reports and evidence needs.
• Use legal research tools and public records to prepare cases and identify witnesses.
• Prepare discovery, organize summaries, and manage witnesses for pretrial work.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and proposed orders; organize files and exhibits.
• Summarize documents and proceedings to support attorneys.
