BEHAR | GIBBS | SAVAGE | PAULSON LLP, a trial-focused law firm in California, seeks an experienced Paralegal to join our collaborative litigation team and support attorneys through all phases of litigation.

This hybrid role based in Los Gatos requires 5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, strong California civil procedure knowledge, and proficiency with Westlaw or LexisNexis; you will manage case files, calendars, filings, and discovery materials from intake through trial.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (litigation preferred).
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Experience with e-filing in California courts.
• Proficiency in Westlaw or LexisNexis.

Responsibilities

• Manage case files from intake through trial

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our collaborative litigation team and support attorneys in all phases of litigation.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants hands-on involvement in complex cases from inception through trial.

Key Responsibilities Case/ Management & Litigation Support

• Manage case files from intake through trial
• Maintain case calendars and track deadlines
• Coordinate filings in state and federal courts

Legal Research & Document Preparation

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis
• Draft and revise legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence
• Prepare legal memoranda and summaries

Discovery

• Draft and respond to written discovery (interrogatories, RFPs, RFAs)
• Organize, review, and analyze document productions

Motion & Pleading Support

• Assist in drafting motions (MSJ, demurrers, motions to strike, discovery motions)
• Prepare supporting exhibits, declarations, and filings

Deposition & Trial Support

• Coordinate and prepare deposition materials
• Assist attorneys during depositions and trials
• Organize trial exhibits and binders

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (litigation preferred)
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Experience with e-filing in California courts
• Proficiency in Westlaw or LexisNexis
