Job summary

Amundsen Davis LLC in Indianapolis seeks an experienced Paralegal to join the healthcare litigation team. The ideal candidate will work with medical records, prepare pleadings, handle discovery responses, and support case preparation with diligence and discretion.

This in-office, full-time role offers a collegial culture, ample opportunities for professional growth, and cross-team collaboration. You will coordinate with attorneys, manage document productions, and help maintain organized case

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare litigation and medical malpractice.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare deposition materials, including binders, medical records, and diagnostic imaging files.
  • Draft discovery responses, court pleadings, and client correspondence.
  • Request and track medical and billing records from clients and third-party providers.
  • Review medical records to identify relevant providers and involved staff.
  • Abstract medical records and prepare chronologies
  • Draft authorizations, non-party requests, and related compliance documentation.
  • Conduct research on Medical Review Panel nominees and summarize findings.
  • Prepare itemizations of damages and expert review materials.
  • Draft client reports and case update summaries.
  • Coordinate communications with outside counsel and experts.
  • Maintain organized case files and support attorneys with case preparation tasks.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a strong healthcare team with an excellent firm culture! Essential Job Responsibilities
