Job summary

Carta is seeking a Junior Paralegal to support the Funds practice in the Americas. You will rotate across or specialise within funds-related work, assisting with investor onboarding, KYC, and high-volume legal tasks alongside lawyers and senior paralegals.

We value eagerness to learn, organization, and clear communication. An undergraduate Law degree or equivalent is preferred, with opportunities to grow toward SQE qualification in a fast-paced setting in Sandy, Utah.

• Build commercial and legal expertise over time with potential progression toward SQE qualification.

The Team You'll Work With

You will be joining our Funds team in the America’s under Carta Law. Carta Law is the largest AI‑native law firm for private capital, born from the combination of Avantia Law and Carta. Our lawyers and paralegals work alongside embedded AI agents to deliver investor onboarding, transaction KYC, and high‑volume legal work with a speed and consistency that traditional law firms simply can’t match. As a Junior Paralegal, you will rotate across or specialize within one of three practice areas depending on your strengths and interests.

• Prepare initial drafts of LP transfer documents (transfer agreements, consents, subscription agreements)
• Liaise with transfer parties on process and timings, and assist with execution workflows
• Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high‑quality client delivery across fast‑moving, high‑volume matters
• Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress towards qualification via the SQE route.

Salary & Benefits

• $72,485 - $90,640 in Seattle (hourly rate of $34.85 – $43.58)
• $64,855 - $81,099 in New Jersey (hourly rate of $31.18 – $38.99)
• $76,300 - $95,410 in New York (hourly rate of $36.68 – $45.87)

• Annualized salary based on estimated 40‑hour week before overtime
