The Administrative Assistant – Forfeiture Litigation at the Florida Gaming Control Commission provides high-level administrative support to the Office of the General Counsel for civil asset forfeiture cases and interagency agreements. The role requires coordination with law enforcement, monitoring documents, and ensuring compliance.

Located in Tallahassee, FL, the position emphasizes strong written/verbal communication, organization, and proficiency in MS Office and case management software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years minimum as a legal assistant or paralegal.
• Two years experience with the criminal justice system (Public Defender/State Attorney/Police or Sheriff’s Office).
• Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of civil asset forfeiture laws and procedures.
• Experience with interagency agreements or MOUs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between internal legal teams and external law enforcement.
• Track litigation status, drafts, and MOUs.
• Support forfeiture-related processes and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
