Kimball,-Tirey- is seeking a Paralegal to support the Fair Housing Practice Group in our Concord or San Diego office. The role involves preparing documents, researching case law, and providing general legal/administrative support.

The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) or equivalent, 3+ years in a law firm, excellent writing, strong communication, and a 65 wpm typing speed. Hybrid in-office schedule with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in a law firm as a paralegal or equivalent.
• Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents.
• Professional communication via telephone and email.
• Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute; versatile computer skills.
• Must provide writing samples showcasing writing style.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for attorneys (letters, agreements, document reviews).
• Research case law, administrative rulings and settlements and other fair housing issues as needed.
• Provide general legal and administrative support for Fair Housing Practice Group, including opening/closing matters, editing and proofreading, billing, and electronic filing.
• Order fulfillment of Fair Housing online store purchases (for items on the FH fee schedule).
• Provide additional legal/administrative support as needed.
