Attorney General & Dept of Law seeks a Paralegal, Environment to support the Environmental Section in Richmond, VA. The role handles litigation documents, memos, court filings, and client reports while maintaining filing systems and databases.
The incumbent will perform legal research, calendar coordination for attorneys, and public records coordination, with strong MS Office and proofreading skills. A paralegal credential or related degree is preferred.
Pay Band: UG
This position provides a full range of legal and administrative support to the Environmental Section’s attorneys. These responsibilities will include: preparing, formatting, and proofing legal documents, correspondence and court filings; generating a weekly report; assembling, redacting, and compiling documents in PDF format; creating, maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets; creating, organizing and updating filing paper and electronic filing systems; maintaining legal databases; legal research; managing client litigation; ensuring calendar control for attorneys; and public records coordination and preservation.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or have completed a paralegal certificate program. Prior relevant work experience is preferred.
