The incumbent will perform legal research, calendar coordination for attorneys, and public records coordination, with strong MS Office and proofreading skills. A paralegal credential or related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with preparing litigation documents, memoranda and correspondence.
  • Ability to type efficiently and proofread accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full range of legal and administrative support to Environmental Section’s attorneys.
  • Prepare, format, and proof legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
  • Generate weekly reports and maintain filing systems (paper and electronic).
  • Create and update Excel spreadsheets and maintain legal databases.
  • Conduct legal research and manage client litigation.
  • Coordinate public records requests and calendar control for attorneys.
