Job summary

Casey Family Programs in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced paralegal to support the legal department's attorneys, manage records and subpoenas, and assist with litigation and contract drafting.

The role requires a paralegal certification or JD and six+ years of experience; strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for handling complex records, contracts, and risk management tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal Certification or JD required.
• Excellent project management, organizational ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Ability to identify legal risks and assess complex matters.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Manages records and subpoenas with oversight from Counsel.
• Litigation support; draft legal documents and correspondence.
• Assist with contracting process; draft/negotiate vendor, grants and governmental agreements.
• Conduct basic legal research and analysis; draft memoranda for Counsel.
• Train and advise other units on records retention and destruction obligations.
• Support risk management efforts and overall department initiatives.
