The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and interested in expanding beyond traditional legal support responsibilities into a broader business and insurance environment.

Candidates with experience in insurance, litigation, claims, corporate legal departments, or regulatory compliance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communications and documentation related to authority requests submitted by third-party administrators (TPAs).
  • Track and maintain records involving reserve changes, settlement authority requests, defense counsel assignments, and expert retention approvals.
  • Respond to and coordinate Department of Insurance (DOI) complaints, inquiries, filings, and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate governance records, board minutes, corporate filings, and entity documentation.
  • Support compliance initiatives and assist with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with oversight of litigated and non-litigated insurance claims.
  • Review claims-related documentation and assist with reporting and file management.
  • Support subpoena responses, court filings, document production, and other litigation-related activities.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, TPAs, claims professionals, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, legal records, and matter management systems.
  • Review legal invoices and assist with billing review processes.
  • Assist with legal operations and special projects assigned by the General Counsel.
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a law firm, insurance company, claims department, corporate legal department, compliance function, or related environment.
  • Experience supporting litigation, insurance claims, regulatory matters, or corporate governance activities preferred.
  • Experience working with TPAs, insurance carriers, MGAs, or claims organizations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Department of Insurance filings, compliance matters, or insurance operations is helpful.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly collaborative, professional, and eager to learn.
Why Join?
