Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Cleveland, OH office. This 100% in-office role requires teamwork, excellent communication, and ownership of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have 3+ years paralegal experience in civil litigation, strong research abilities, and proficiency with iManage, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm
• Civil litigation experience required
• Familiarity with web-based legal research services
• Experience with paperless files and iManage is a plus
• Must pass a background/drug screen
• ABA-approved paralegal certificate required
• Insurance coverage experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparation of civil cases for trial
• Discovery and records management
• Summarize medical and employment records; create medical chronologies; summarize discovery responses
• Prepare meet and confer correspondence; assist with motion drafting including oppositions to motions
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
