Job summary

The ACLU-WA is seeking a Paralegal in Seattle to support litigation and legal advocacy through drafting, file management, discovery, and trial preparation under attorney supervision.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of paralegal/legal research experience in a legal setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional paralegal certification with several years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
• File motions and pleadings in state and federal courts with proper formatting and citations.
• Prepare and serve complaints, filings, and discovery and assist in deposition prep.
• Coordinate case files, maintain calendars, and support trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research, analyze statutes and regulations, and review case materials.
• Interview clients and witnesses and summarize statements for attorneys.
