Job summary

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate required; two years of related experience may substitute.
• Experience in legal research and drafting of legal documents.
• Ability to access and use legal references and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal research assistance to offenders and staff to locate proper legal authority.
• Analyze DOC staff and offender legal problems to assist in resolving issues.
• Monitor and manage offender legal access computers and programs.
• Provide notary services to offenders and staff as needed.
• Maintain data and prepare monthly reports on offender access and activity.
