Job summary

RisCassi & Davis PC in West Hartford, CT is seeking a litigation paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation.

You will manage case files, prepare filings for state and federal courts, communicate with clients, medical providers and insurers, and assist with settlements, including liens and settlement packages.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or prior personal injury litigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The law firm of RisCassi & Davis, P.C., is a well-known and well-established plaintiff's personal injury firm located in West Hartford, Connecticut. Join our team as a litigation paralegal and play an integral role in supporting our attorneys through all phases of litigation.

As a litigation paralegal, you will manage case files, prepare and finalize discovery, participate in trial preparation, coordinate and prepare filings in both state and federal courts. You will also communicate with clients, attorneys, medical providers and insurance adjusters. You will obtain, organize, and summarize medical records and bills. You will support the attorneys in settlement efforts, including by obtaining liens and sending out settlement packages.

Skills and Qualifications:

• You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail. You must be well organized and have superior time management skills. Benefits:

This position offers a completive salary between $60,000-$70,000, based on experience.
