This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and the option of two remote workdays each week.

The Position

Key Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in case preparation by obtaining medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, ensuring timely follow‑ups with providers.
• Maintain and streamline case data with well‑structured discovery and records organizational charts to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct vital research by issuing Public Records Requests and performing background investigations to support litigation strategy.
• Analyze and summarize medical records and medical treatment chronologies that provide crucial case insights.
• Draft and prepare answers to Complaints; support attorneys in depositions and discovery by preparing discovery requests and responses, witness disclosures, supporting declarations, and affidavits for ongoing matters.
• Summarize transcripts, manage key documents, and ensure timely follow‑ups on requests to support attorneys in depositions and discovery.
• Manage and prepare document productions efficiently by reviewing, analyzing, and organizing files from insured parties.
• Communicate with client and claim representatives to ensure timely completion of discovery requests.
• Prepare and organize materials for expert witness review, ensuring they have the necessary documentation for case assessments.
• Keep case files impeccably organized and accessible, ensuring a smooth workflow for attorneys and litigation teams.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a strong team dynamic and ensure smooth case progression.
• Provide comprehensive trial preparation support, including deposition designations, witness and exhibit management, preparation of pre‑trial materials, and coordination of trial logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong preference for those with insurance defense experience.
• Demonstrated experience billing time as a paralegal, with an understanding of law‑firm billing practices and expectations.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills, ensuring clarity in documentation and correspondence.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, balancing multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Proven ability to draft written discovery and maintain detailed records of received documents.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a keen ability to manage large volumes of case materials.
• Tech‑savvy with sophisticated technical skills, including proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $92,000 USD
