Job Description:We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Easterseals NH & VT team! This role involves performing complex and specialized support duties relating to legal, compliance, insurance, and policy matters, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will provide administrative assistance to Executives and External Counsel for highly sensitive, confidential, and privileged matters.Key responsibilities include:Assist Executives and external attorneys with document review, including uploading, organizing, searching, and coding documents in secured internal site.Maintain secured internal site for legal and compliance matters; prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, emails transcripts, pleadings, and other items.Issue litigation hold requests; collect and categorize all documents received.Respond to external party requests (general liability insurance, auditors, state agencies, etc.) and troubleshoot issues.Coordinate with agency insurance carriers to ensure proper coverage on pending litigation.Review contracts and gather and maintain necessary documents to ensure compliance with HR, IT, and insurance requirements.Meet with executives, attorneys, investigators, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.Draft, review, and edit policies and other documents, according to Easterseals or State Agency procedures.Assist SVP of Organizational Culture and Policy with maintenance of PolicyCo platform.Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis upon request.Draft minutes for committee meetings (Risk, Compliance, 403(b) Investment, etc.)Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.Qualifications:Associates degree, bachelor’s degree preferredCurrent Paralegal CertificationThree (3) + years’ related experience in a law firm, corporation, non-profit agency, or government agencyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgement in making decisions and addressing problemsAbility to work productively, independently, and creatively in an evolving environmentDemonstrated proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn state and Agency specific information technology systemsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationThis is an on-site role based in Manchester, NH, with the option to work remotely up to two days per week.Compensation: $66,000 to $70,000 based on experience, degree, and certifications.Hours: This is a full-time, salaried position.We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time, eligible employees, including:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & DisabilityPTO begins accruing on your first day!10 Paid Holidays – includes a floating holiday of your choice403(b) employer match up to a maximum of 3%Tuition reimbursement after one year of employmentStudent loan repayment for qualifying degrees after one year of employmentWellness programs: nutritional counseling services, reimbursement programs for weight loss & tobacco cessationWe are proud to be a recovery-friendly workplace and a NH Veteran-Friendly Business.To apply, please click on the blue “Apply Now” button above.
