Job summary

Confidential Employer, a Southern California business law firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to support civil and business litigation in Irvine. You will handle discovery, court filings, case organization, and litigation preparation with seasoned attorneys.

This role requires in-office collaboration with potential hybrid flexibility based on firm needs and the candidate’s experience, and calls for strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Familiar with California court procedures, filings, and deadlines.
• Experience with discovery, document production, and case management.
• Strong organizational, proofreading, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of civil and business litigation.
• Assist with discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and document productions.
• Prepare California state and federal court filings and e-filings.
• Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and case files.
• Organize and summarize records, transcripts, exhibits, and evidence.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, hearings, and trial prep.
• Conduct factual and legal research related to active matters.
• Draft and proofread correspondence, notices, pleadings, and other docs.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, experts, courts, and vendors.
• Help move cases efficiently with accuracy and organization.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and staff.
• Must meet applicable California paralegal qualification requirements.
