Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a California-licensed paralegal for a Los Angeles-based, on-site role in a respected litigation practice. The candidate will manage discovery, draft pleadings, oversee e-filing, and coordinate with witnesses and clients, supporting trial preparation with experienced attorneys.

Requirements include a California Paralegal Certificate and 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with strong proficiency in Westlaw/LEXIS, MS Office, and case management software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Working knowledge of California state and federal court procedures and e-filing requirements.
• Proficiency with Westlaw, LEXIS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, motions, subpoenas, and proposed orders for attorney review
• Manage and organize large volumes of discovery, including electronic documents and media files
• Summarize depositions and prepare comprehensive indexes and case materials
• Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, LEXIS, and other research platforms
• Perform California state and federal court e-filing and maintain procedural compliance
• Coordinate with witnesses, experts, and clients throughout the litigation process
• Support trial preparation and assist with jury instructions and related filings
• Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and case management systems
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside parties to advance case strategy
