Job summary

SBSB Law PLLC in Chicago seeks a professional paralegal to support the defense team. You will obtain, review and analyze documents, review medical records, and prepare trial notebooks, exhibits and witness files.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of defense experience, a degree from an accredited university or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate, and strong MS Office skills. Excellent organization, independence and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in defense.
• Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) or degree from accredited university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier is seeking a professional, organized, reliable paralegal to support our Chicago office. The ideal candidate must have excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment, think creatively and work independently.

Responsibilities include-but are not limited to:

• Obtain, review and analyze documents or any other relevant information
• Review and summarize medical records
• Prepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits and witness files
• Compile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries and databases
• Generate status reports, logs and indexes
• Maintain acceptable minimum monthly billable hours

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in defense
• Degree from an accredited university and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task and the ability to work with all levels of employees.
