Qualifications

• Prior law office or paralegal experience preferred.
• Experience with Texas civil litigation and court procedures strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and proofreading legal documents for active caseload.
• E-file documents and organize case files.
• Calendar and track deadlines; assist with discovery.
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel; assist with hearings and depositions.
• Assist with trials and real estate or business transactions.

Role Description

NS Law Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Paralegal to work directly with attorneys in managing an active caseload.

Responsibilities include preparing and proofreading legal documents, e-filing, organizing case files, calendaring and tracking deadlines, assisting with discovery, conducting legal and factual research, communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, and assisting with hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and real estate or business transactions.

The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of assigned matters and keep cases moving forward.

Qualifications

• Prior law office or paralegal experience preferred;
• Experience with Texas civil litigation and court procedures is strongly preferred;
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred;
• Strong writing, proofreading, organizational, and communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines;
• Experience with Texas e-filing, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case-management software; and
• Clio experience is a plus.
