The paralegal position will have significant responsibility in a fast-paced environment with the corporate legal department. This position will report to the General Counsel responsible for supporting the Legal Department. The paralegal must be motivated, independent, flexible, friendly, focused, and a team player. This role will require excellent organizational skills, time management, and clear precise communication abilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities for this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Corporate governance matters for domestic and international subsidiaries
• Create and maintain worldwide corporate records database
• Establish, organize, and maintain administrative and legal electronic department files
• Support attorneys in matter management.
• Effectively keep up-to-date with all appropriate documentation.
• Develop spreadsheets to manage complex projects.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis related to trademark law and domain name disputes, as well as other areas assigned. Provide recommendations and support to the legal team based on findings.
• General Legal and Administrative Support to the Legal Department. Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Paralegal certificate required.
• Must have 3-5 years prior experience in the legal environment with previous support for corporate counsel or a law firm.
• Adept at managing and completing several simultaneous projects in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication; working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Organization and record keeping.
• Attention to detail; ability to work independently.
• Prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints.
• Possess good judgment in making decisions and be creative in solving problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer. The employee is required to be mobile too, from, and within the office. The employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

• Draper Utah Office-based position with fully onsite.
