Dewhirst, Dolven & Parker LLC is a regional civil litigation insurance defense law firm with clients in Colorado, Utah, Texas, Nebraska, and Wyoming. We are committed to providing clients with superior legal representation while remaining sensitive to the economic interests of each case. We strive to understand our clients' business interests to assist them in obtaining solutions through the legal process. We are currently seeking a paralegal to join our Utah team.

The ideal candidate will want to be part of a collaborative team and be comfortable driving cases forward while working closely with our attorneys in all aspects of litigation. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, filing pleadings, summarizing depositions and other discovery materials, and assisting with trial preparation. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Organize and maintain case files.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, trials, and other court proceedings.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses.
• Interview witnesses and clients to obtain information.
• Conduct investigations into facts of cases.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certification required; certifications such as those offered by NALA or AACP are a plus.
• 5+ years of previous experience as a Paralegal.
• Experience with practice management and billing software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Strong internet skills; this is a remote position.
• Although remote, candidates must be located in Utah, as there may be occasional travel within Utah.

Salary is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
