Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Boston is seeking an experienced paralegal to support civil litigation teams in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate, proficiency with web research, paperless files, and strong drafting skills; background/drug screen; MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel; willingness to take ownership and work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with web-based legal research
• Experience working with paperless files; iManage a plus
• Must successfully pass a background/drug screen
• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from ABA approved program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial
• Ability to summarize medical and employment records, create medical chronologies, summarize discovery responses, prepare meet and confer correspondence
• Motion writing experience, such as oppositions to motions including discovery motions, motions to continue trial
