Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Walnut Creek, CA seeks an experienced paralegal to join our in-office team. You will assist attorneys with civil litigation cases, manage discovery and records, and prepare chronologies and meet-and-confer communications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years paralegal experience, civil litigation background, proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and paperless filing. ABA-approved paralegal certificate and bachelor’s degree are required; background checks apply.

• Must successfully pass a background/drug screen.

• Ensure confidentiality and maintain organized case files in a paperless environment.

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm with over 500 attorneys servicing clients in 40 offices and 22 states seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Walnut Creek office. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm
• Civil litigation experience required
• Familiarity with performing research tasks using web-based legal research services
• Experience working with paperless files. iManage experience a plus
• Must successfully pass a background/drug screen
• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from ABA approved program required.

Actual base pay within the range will also be dependent on other factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
