Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Orlando seeks an experienced paralegal to support litigation teams in a fast-paced, in-office environment. The role requires handling civil cases, discovery, and record management with attention to detail.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of paralegal experience, civil litigation background, and familiarity with legal research and paperless file systems such as iManage. A Bachelor's degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm
• Civil litigation experience required
• Familiarity with web-based legal research services
• Experience with paperless files; iManage experience a plus
• Must pass a background and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial
• Discovery and records management
• Summarize medical and employment records; create medical chronologies; summarize discovery responses; prepare meet and confer correspondence
• Motion writing experience, including oppositions to motions and discovery motions
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail
