Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Boston is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team in a fast-paced civil litigation practice. The role requires taking ownership of cases, supporting attorneys in trial preparation, and managing deadlines with precision.

Candidates should have 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, civil litigation background, proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with paperless files (iManage a plus).

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Familiarity with web-based legal research.
• Experience with paperless files; iManage is a plus.
• Must pass background/drug screen.
• Bachelor’s degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial.
• Discovery and records management.
• Summarize medical and employment records; create chronologies; summarize discovery responses; prepare meet and confer correspondence.
• Motion writing, including oppositions and discovery motions.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
