Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the Legal team in Atlanta. You will support a range of legal documents, corporate records, and regulatory matters while coordinating with external counsel. A strong drafting and research background is essential.

Requirements include 5+ years in a corporate legal setting, a Georgia Notary Public commission, and a Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved) or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus as the company expands globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate ABA-approved highly desirable.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Notary Public commission in Georgia required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Legal team by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining a variety of legal documents, agreements, and corporate records.
• Conduct legal research, gather information, and assist attorneys with litigation, regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to support legal processes, investigations, and ongoing business initiatives.
• Manage legal documentation, deadlines, and reporting to help ensure efficient and organized legal operations.
• Assist with intellectual property, legal hold, and records management activities while supporting compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Serve as a Georgia Notary Public, as needed, in support of legal and business documentation requirements.

What you’ll own

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Current Georgia Notary Public commission required.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and contracts.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• It’s a bonus if you have Bachelor's degree.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program.
• Experience supporting litigation, intellectual property, corporate governance, or regulatory compliance matters.
