Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP seeks an experienced paralegal for our Las Vegas office. The role requires 3+ years in civil litigation, strong research skills, and the ability to manage discovery and records efficiently.

You will assist attorneys with case preparation, summarize records, and draft motions in a fast-paced, in-office environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program and must pass a background/drug screen.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Familiarity with research using web-based legal research services.
• Experience with paperless files; iManage experience is a plus.
• Must pass background and drug screen; ABA approved program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial
• Discovery and records management
• Ability to summarize medical and employment records, create medical chronologies, summarize discovery responses, prepare meet and confer correspondence

• Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail
