Bonita Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator Specialized Services II to support the special education instructional program. Under direct supervision, you will work with pupils in small groups or one-to-one, assist in preparing instructional materials and perform other assigned tasks.

This part-time role runs the school year with hours typically 6 per day (about 30 hours per week), Monday through Friday, with a floater site to be determined.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience is desirable working with special education children, or as a volunteer in a school.
• Must meet ESSA requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent AND one of: 2 years of college (48 units), Associate's degree or higher, CBEST, or Paraprofessional Exam.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, perform a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent in preparing instructional materials, and in performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable in working with special education children, as a teacher, with recognized youth groups, or as a volunteer at a school.
• Must meet the following requirements in order to comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA): Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following:
  • Completion of 2 years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units)
  • Possession of an Associate's Degree or higher degree
  • Passage of the CBEST exam
  • Passage of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Exam

Comments and Other Information

Specialized Services (4 positions available) 6 Hours Per Day, Floater. This position is up to 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday. The assigned work site is to be determined. Start and end times vary based on operational needs and assignment.

Typical work hours fall within the following schedule:
