Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools seeks a paraeducator to support student learning under a teacher's supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, supervising activities, and managing instructional materials in a classroom setting.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, 48 college credits, and ParaPro or related credentials. Experience with students in classrooms is preferred, and annual benefits are detailed in the BCPS package.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Forty-eight (48) college credits.
• ParaPro Assessment with passing score of 455 or higher before 9/1/2026.
• ParaPathways with minimum passing scores: Reading/Writing (332) and Mathematics (334).
• Foundations of Classroom Support with a minimum passing score of 220.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce learning and develop skills; help with reading and library activities.
• Supervise outdoor activities, maintain a neat, safe classroom, and oversee cleanup activities.
• Obtain, catalog, store, distribute, and inventory instructional materials; set up audiovisual equipment and maintain displays.
• Perform clerical tasks such as attendance, collecting assignments, and preparing instructional materials; cover classes when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
