Job summary

Kent School District seeks paraeducators who meet state requirements and can complete all post-hire training through the KSD Professional Development Team. Qualifications include an AA degree or higher, 72 college credits, or a ParaPro score of 455+ with high school completion.

Selected candidates will begin the process after meeting minimum standards and will complete required state training after hire.

• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.
Salary is annualized and spread through August.

*hours per day is an average - daily schedules may vary based on student days
Paraeducator Requirements:
Prior to starring, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
