COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School Committee and the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Secretaries and Assistants Association located on the DY website ($29.03-$35.80/hour)

All paraprofessionals must meet certification requirements as determined by the Every Student Succeeds Act. Individuals with an Associate's degree or higher, or who have obtained 48 credit hours from an accredited higher education institution, have met this requirement and will need to provide a copy of a transcript showing your highest degree earned. The finalpathway to meet this requirement is passing the Massachusetts ParaPro or Workkeys Assessment certification within the first year of employment. Description: Supports students, which may include, but not limited to, students with: low-incidence disabilities, autism, social-emotional needs, and behavioral concerns. Support may occur in an early education setting, inclusion setting, substantially separate classroom or home. This may be 1:1 or in a small group. Work schedule as assigned by the building principal. Assignments are not binding and may be adjusted by administration at any time based on district needs. You are an employee of the District, not necessarily one specific school or program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Must be highly qualified. Associate's degree, 2 years of college or passing score on the ParaPro test. Knowledge of child development (intellectual, social/emotional, and physical) and 12 months experience working with students with special needs is desirable.
