Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to support students with IEPs under the direction of the principal. The role focuses on facilitating mastery of grade-level curriculum and Alternate Academic Achievement Standards, often in general education settings with small-group instruction.

You will provide instructional and classroom-management support, assist with implementation of the instructional program, and help monitor student behavior.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of experience working with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work with children and adolescents with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and classroom-management support to teachers.
• Assist with implementation of the instructional program and monitoring of student behavior.
