Windsor Public Schools seeks a paraeducator to assist certified staff in classrooms, supporting students with instruction and performance tracking. The role involves supervising lunch, bus duty, and field trips, and helping implement instructional material and IEP goals.
Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets is helpful. Candidates should be able to follow written or oral instructions, work with diverse groups, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with staff and students.
Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties such as proctoring study halls to enable them to make a contribution to other aspects of the educational program, such as curriculum development.

In accordance with the Windsor BOE Paraeducators (UPSEU) and the Windsor Board of Education's collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position for academic year 2026-2027 is $21.00/hour to $25.50/hour, with a $2.00/hour pay differential for paraeducators in certain positions as outlined by Article 10.0: Salaries. Paraeducators working 20 hours or more per week are entitled to 10 paid sick days per year which may accumulate to a maximum total of 170 days available per year. Four (4) personal days are provided each year and may not accumulate. Please see collective bargaining agreement for more detail regarding all available types of leave provided. All full-time paraeducators participate in the Town of Windsor Defined Contribution Plan and a provided life insurance policy. All full-time paraeducators may choose to enroll in full-time benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as several optional retirement account options, long term disability insurance, supplemental life insurance, and more.
