Job summary

Bremerton School District 100-C is seeking a Paraeducator to assist teachers with planning curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and assessing student progress. This role may support students with special needs, mobility support, and IEP implementation under supervision.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED, AA degree or 72 college credits, and passing scores on approved assessments (ParaPath, ParaPro, Pearson, or Master Teacher). Schedule is 6.0 hrs/day, 181 days/year.

Qualifications

• Must hold a high school diploma or GED.
• AA Degree or 72 college credits or equivalent
• Passing scores on approved assessments (ParaPath, ParaPro, Pearson, Master Teacher).
• Child development coursework or training preferred.
• Experience with children in a school environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals or small groups to promote student learning objectives and support IEP goals.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and wellbeing in various settings.
• Maintain student records and assist with reports and progress monitoring.
• Conduct student assessments to determine placement and progress.
• Assist certificated staff with planning and preparing curriculum and materials.
• Process daily work, correct assignments, and communicate progress.
