28.75 HOUR PARAEDUCATOR AT HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Paraeducators will support students during whole and small group instruction as well as working with individual children throughout the day. Responsibilities include supervising lunch and recess and accompanying students to specials such as art and music. Experience working with grades K-3 and an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices is required.

Other tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

Supervised By

Special Education Supervisor and/or the School Principal.

Qualifications

High school diploma. Two years of higher education preferred.

Salary

In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides. Starting Salary $18.00/hr. Benefits Available.
