Sylvania is seeking a Part-Time Paraeducator Elementary to support students and teachers in the Blaine, MN area. This role involves a 184 days per year, 3.5 hours per day, assisting with instructional tasks across several areas including lunchroom, playground, prep, behavior support, media center, copy room, or computer lab.
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be able to lift 25 pounds, and work well with students and staff.
Paraeducator Elementary
Part-Time 184 days/3.5 hrs/day
Elementary Paraeducators assist and support students and teachers at the elementary levels with various instructional tasks. These could include any of the following areas: lunchroom, playground supervision, preptime, behavior support rooms, media center, copy room, classroom assistance, or computer lab.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be physically working in the building. Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills. Ability/desire to work with technology and computers. Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff. Ability to supervise students Ability to take direction. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
$20.00/hour to $23.00/hour DOQ with K-12 experience
$21.15/hour to $24.15/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience*
$22.00/hour to $25.00/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience
