Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator Elementary in Minnesota to supervise student areas, assist with noninstructional support, and help maintain a safe, orderly school environment. This part-time role runs 184 days/3 hours per day and offers insurance benefits for positions of 6 hours or more per day.

Paraeducator Elementary

Part‑Time 184 days/3 hrs/day

Duties

Supervise areas where students gather such as hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, bus areas, and lunchroom. Support teachers/administration with copy room duties. Perform other duties as assigned (not including student instructional support).

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be physically working in the building.
• Good communications, interpersonal and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability/desire to work with technology and computers.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
• Ability to supervise students.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of Pay

• $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour DOQ with K-12 experience
• $21.15/hour to $24.15/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience
• $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience
