Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program at Peter S Ogden Elementary in Vancouver, WA. Position is 6.5 hours per day, 9 months per year, non-exempt, starting immediately.

The role supports students with disabilities, assists the teacher with goals and data collection, and requires CPI/behavior training as specified. Familiarity with educational teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED and related education.
• Official transcripts or ETS ParaPro results as required.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with implementing goals and IEPs.
• Participate in team meetings to provide observational input.
• Monitor and collect data as directed by the teacher.
• Provide instructional support for classroom and sensory programs.
• Support students with self-regulation and behavior management.
