Job summary

Southridge High School in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Paraeducator 1 for a temporary 7-hour shift. The role supports English Language Learners (ELL) in the classroom and Spanish bilingual candidates are preferred.

The Paraeducator assists the teacher with instruction, prepares materials, and supervises students to keep a safe, productive environment. The position is full-time temporary, with a daily schedule from 8:30am to 4:00pm, as part of a 10-month calendar and 182 calendar work days.

Additional Information:

This position will support English Languague Learners (ELL) in the classroom setting. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Purpose: The Paraeducator 1 assists the Teacher in the delivery of an instructional program, through preparation of the classroom and materials, and through working with individual and small groups of students. The Paraeducator 1 also provides supervision of student activities in order to ensure that the school maintains a safe and orderly environment.
