Job summary

Culpeper County Public Schools is seeking a Para-Educator in the Yowell Elementary area to support a general education classroom. Under the supervision of an administrator and classroom teacher, you will assist with instruction, behavior management, recordkeeping, and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising students, preparing materials, providing one-on-one and group instruction after initial guidance, and helping with attendance, progress data, lunch counts, and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Para-Professional Assessment is required.
• Equivalent training or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Observes and supervises classroom activities during instruction to maintain a safe environment.
• Assists with setup and cleanup of the classroom for group instruction and activities.
• Provides one-on-one and group instruction after initial teacher guidance.
• Monitors students during bathrooms, lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Assists students with self-help, gross motor, and social skills.
