Job summary

Kronospan in Anniston, AL, is seeking a VITS paper packing operator responsible for installing packaging lines, strapping, wrapping and labeling, and entering data into the Kronospan Operation System. You will inspect products and transport materials with a forklift as needed to support production on the line.

The role requires the ability to read technical instructions, work safely in heat and cold, lift up to 50 lbs, and collaborate with the facility team.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow technical instructions.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and use tools.
• Forklift operation certification is required or training provided.
• Must be able to work with metric measurements.
• Collaborate well with team and work independently.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing stairs/ladders.

Job Description

Perform the VITS paper packing installation including: strapping, wrapping and labeling. The personnel are responsible to ensure all products are properly inspected, packaged and all the information has been entered in the Kronospan Operation System. Further duties may include operating a forklift to transport paper and materials between departments, plant areas or truck loading. The personnel are responsible to ensure all products are properly and safely managed and transported; assisting maintenance personnel, when requested, in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment in order to support continuous operations on the production line

Qualifications

• The ability to read and comprehend work instructions of a technical nature.
• The ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery.
• The ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools.
• The ability to be trained and become certified to operate a forklift.
• The ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements.
