Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Paper Machine Rewinder Operator to join our manufacturing team at Gila Bend, AZ. You will operate and monitor rewinder equipment to produce quality paper rolls, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

The role involves running rotating 12-hour shifts, following safety procedures, and collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Experience in a paper manufacturing or similar industrial setting is a plus.
• Ability to read production specs, procedures, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and monitor paper machine rewinder equipment.
• Maintain quality by watching speed, tension, and roll formation.
• Inspect rolls for defects and winding quality; adjust as needed.
• Perform roll changes, threading, and handling of materials.
• Report issues and participate in preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain records and keep a clean, safe work area.
